This is not a legal document. It is how we actually think about your data, and what we’ve built to back it up.
What we collect
Friendly collects the conversations you import through Soul Transfer and the conversations you have inside Friendly. That’s the foundation of your memory.
We also collect your email address when you sign up. That’s it. No behavioral tracking. No third-party analytics that follow you around the web. No advertising data. Nothing you didn’t give us intentionally.
We know what a best friend would know. and a best friend doesn’t surveil you.
What we don’t do
Your conversations are never used to train any AI model. Not the models you access through Friendly, not any third-party system, not anything. Your memory is your memory. It is not a training asset.
Your data is never sold to advertisers, data brokers, or any third party. The Data Royalty Program. where you earn from your intelligence. is the only path through which your data creates external value, and you control it entirely.
Nothing leaves Friendly without your explicit, specific consent. Not for research. Not for product improvement. Not for any purpose we haven’t clearly explained and you haven’t clearly approved.
You can export your entire memory vault at any time. You can delete any memory, any domain, or your entire account at any time. Deletion is immediate, permanent, and cascading. No grace periods. No recovery windows. When you delete, it’s gone.
How we protect it
Your memory content is encrypted at the application layer using AES-256-GCM before it ever touches the database. Encryption keys are managed separately from the data. your memories cannot be read by accessing the database alone.
Every user’s data is isolated at the database level. Row-level security means no cross-user access is architecturally possible. not by other users, and not by Friendly employees through normal database access.
Every significant action on your account generates an immutable audit log. You can always see what happened to your data.
Your rights
You have the right to access everything Friendly knows about you. The Vault is that access. every memory, every cluster, every DRP enrollment, fully visible and auditable at any time.
You have the right to delete anything, at any time, without explanation. This right cannot be suspended, conditioned, or delayed.
You have the right to export your complete memory corpus in a structured format. Your data is portable by design.
You have the right to know what consent you’ve given. Every consent moment is recorded. what you agreed to, when, and what version of the consent language you saw.
